“Contrast(E)”

A collective exhibition of LOVE’s 2015-2016 Media Arts Program participants

Contraste_Visuel

From June 14 to 17, the result of a year’s worth of achievements of 16 young participants from Media Arts Program, an initiative led by LOVE – Leave out Violence, and 4 youth from Dans la rue organization, will be presented to an extended public by the Contrast(E) exhibition, at Montreal Forum.

“Contrast(E)” embodies the collective works of LOVE’s 2015-2016 Media Arts Program participants. The exhibit is a window into the contrasting realities of youth and explores the struggles and challenges experienced by a generation seeking to define itself. They portray the conflicting themes of hope and despair, isolation and belonging, defeat and resilience.

By learning to express their emotions through photography and writing, MAP youth discover alternatives to violence that lead them along a path to positive change and transformation.
